Tom McMahon

Tom McMahon is an attorney and co-founder of New Partners Consulting in Washington, D.C.

He has over 20 years of experience in Democratic politics, beginning on the Clinton-Gore Presidential campaign in 1992 as a regional field director. McMahon has managed successful campaign operations at the federal, state, and local level as well as numerous issue advocacy and affinity building campaigns.

From 2005-2009, Tom served as Executive Director of the Democratic National Committee, where he was the principal architect of the innovative “50 State Strategy.” Prior to his tenure at the DNC, McMahon served as Deputy Campaign Manager for Howard Dean’s groundbreaking presidential bid. Before receiving his law degree from the University of Iowa, McMahon held several key positions during the Clinton Administration including working for Vice President Gore, in the Secretary of Defense’s Office of Public Affairs, and as the White House Liaison at the U.S. Information Agency.
