Thalia Assuras has more than 30 years of experience as a broadcast journalist, communications consultant, writer, media trainer, and public speaker.
Thalia has performed at the highest levels of broadcast journalism as an anchor and correspondent at the ABC and CBS networks in the United States, and at Canada’s CTV and Global CanWest networks. She has reported or anchored coverage of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; politics, from the White House and Capitol Hill to national elections; presidential summits; natural disasters; the September 11th attacks; the Olympics; and breaking news.
She provides strategic planning and implementation; crisis management; media relations for print, broadcast, online and social media; crafting messages and identifying messengers; and media and presentation training.
Thalia has taught communications courses, served as master of ceremonies for many events, written about the profession, and advised newcomers to the field. She also speaks French and Greek.
