In collaboration with Netflix, in March 2022 Truman Center hosted a conversation exploring the impact of the film Don’t Look Up and strategies for effectively communicating the climate crisis. Panelists included Adam McKay, Screenwriter and Director of Don’t Look Up; Gina McCarthy, White House National Climate Advisor; Dr. Marshall Shepherd, Meteorologist and Professor at the University of Georgia; and Alexandra (Xander) Meise, Truman’s Visiting Senior Fellow on Climate and Energy.
