Mehdi Alhassani will join the Truman Center for National Policy’s Board of Advisors.

WASHINGTON D.C. - Truman is pleased to welcome Mehdi Alhassani, former Special Assistant to the Deputy National Security Advisor under President Obama, to its board.

At present, Mehdi Alhassani leads internal operations at Palantir Technologies.

“Mehdi is a strong fit for Truman’s Board of Advisors,” said Jenna Ben-Yehuda, Truman’s President & CEO. “A longtime Truman member, his political background and extensive experience in the technology sector will provide us with the expertise needed to respond to today’s most pressing national security issues.”

Alhassani has worked in corporate strategy, government affairs, and public policy at Palantir Technologies for the last decade. He has twice been appointed to the Board of the Human Relations Commission by the city of Palo Alto, in order to serve as a liaison between the city and non-profit community. In this role, he focussed on tackling veteran homelessness and expanding affordable housing.  He continues to volunteer with numerous civic and non-profit organizations in California.

“I am very proud to have an even deeper engagement with the amazing Truman Center,” said Alhassani. “Our nation faces so many critical challenges but when I see the intelligence, compassion, and work ethic of the Truman community, it makes me feel optimistic and inspired.”

Alhassani is a Fulbright Scholar and very proud Truman National Security Fellow. Though a committed Boston sports fan, he is happy to call the Bay Area home.
