Truman Center Announces Rachel Maddow as TruCon Keynote Speaker

March 23, 2023, Washington, DC — Today, the Truman Center for National Policy announced that Rachel Maddow will be the keynote speaker at TruCon 2023, the organization’s flagship annual conference, on June 2nd.

“Rachel Maddow covers today’s biggest stories, always placing justice, equality and values at the center of the conversation,” said Truman President Jenna Ben-Yehuda, “At Truman, we believe that national security encompasses a wide range of issues, many of which Maddow analyzes through her multiple platforms. We are thrilled to have her join TruCon this year.”

Maddow is one of America’s most prominent media personalities. In addition to hosting the Emmy Award-winning Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, she created the podcast “Rachel Maddow Presents: Ultra,” an 8-part historical non-fiction series that explores the story of the 1944 great sedition trial, and is the author of “DRIFT: The Unmooring of American Military Power,” which debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestsellers list in March 2012, as well as “Blowout: Corrupted Democracy, Rogue State Russia, and the Richest, Most Destructive Industry on Earth” published in 2019.

TruCon is the highly anticipated annual conference hosted by the Truman Center for National Policy, bringing together thought leaders on today's most pressing national security issues. This year’s edition will feature discussion on a range of topics at the nexus of foreign and domestic policy, inducing political polarization in the United States, diversity in the national security workforce, and American industrial policy and great power competition. The conference will be open to the public both in-person and online. Registration is now open. For more information, please visit trumancenter.org.
